CUPE Local 1091 represents more than 900 Delta School District support workers, including clerical, custodial, education assistants and maintenance workers.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) is Canada's largest union with over 628,000 members across the country. Most of our members work in the public service, including schools, municipalities, health care, social services and more. CUPE's strength comes from individual members working toward common goals and speaking with a collective voice. Together, we maintain and improve wages and benefits, improve health and safety standards, and make our workplace better. We have won the right to negotiate our wages and working conditions, to stop arbitrary action by employers, and to speak out without fear of reprisal.

All CUPE members work under the protection of a contract called a collective agreement. CUPE 1091, like all other CUPE locals, bargain the terms of the agreement. Elected leaders in your Local also work with the employer to resolve problems in the worksplace. You can find the collective agreement for CUPE 1091 by clicking here.

If you have questions about your rights at work, the best person to talk to is your steward or Local executive. If you aren't sure who to contact, please call the union office or fill in the contact form.
