What is Job Evaluation Committee ?

 

Article 6 of the Collective Agreement sets out procedure for the Job Evaluation Maintenance Committee.

The Committee has a 5 year mandate to complete the evaluation of all positions within CUPE as well as new positions.  Presently your  Committee is in its 4th year of operation and we still have a long way to go.

Members of Committee are

Cathie Herbert   ( Clerical)

Vacant               ( Maintenance)

Ian Reade         ( Educational Assistant)

Rob Kerr            (Custodial)

The purpose of the Joint Job Evaluation Maintenance Committee (J.J.E.M.C.) is to evaluate all CUPE positions within the School District.  It is the mandate of this committee to do this on a 5 year rotation.  This committee started in the year 2005 and will finish in June 2010.  The process will then start all over again. We have two alternate members for the J.E. Committee, 1 from Clerical and 1 from T.A.’s

The paperwork has been sent out for the following positions:

Delivery Person
Mail Room Clerk
Business Admin Assistant
Secretary-Registration & Accounting
Secretary - Continuing Education

  When the paperwork is received we will attempt to schedule a
meeting for late February, early March.

The committee is currently on hiatus for the summer. We will resume duties in the fall.
